Our Running for Beginners section is designed to show you how to start running, offering running tips, beginner training plans & guides.
We will begin with some simple running tips for beginners that look at everything from the clothes you should be wearing, how to choose your footwear, how to warm-up before you run, how to build your endurance and distance and how to make sure you recover properly after running.
We will also provide advice on running safely – making sure you are aware of traffic and other pedestrians and that they are aware of you.
For many people, having a running plan is the best way to start as it helps give them structure. We will provide a beginner running plan for distances including 5k, 10k, half marathon and even, for the more ambitious, a beginner plan that will take you all the way to full marathon distance.
