Feeling snowed under by December’s festivities? Ready to fight off the January blues after the Christmas break?

Whether you’re dusting off your trainers or fancy taking up a new challenge to step into the new year, Running Off Christmas will help you stick to your new year’s fitness resolution.

Run by yourself or with a friend and choose your own fundraising goal. Every penny you raise will help us support seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Once you’ve signed up you can connect your fundraising page to your running app or Fitbit, so your friends and family can see you tot up your miles when they sponsor you. All that’s left is to hit the ground running in January!

Running off Christmas is free to enter, and money raised will help to fund pioneering medical research, support services for patients and families at GOSH, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital for seriously ill children across the UK.

How your fundraising could help seriously ill children at GOSH:

• £17 could pay for everything a play team member needs for an hour of fun activities, helping to ensure children feel in control, calm and informed about their treatment
• £27 could fund an hour’s research on a project in Plymouth to find new treatments for a rare life-threatening genetic disorder that causes tumours on the nerves responsible for hearing and balance
• £35 covers the cost of one night’s stay in our family accommodation, so that parents get a good night’s sleep and can stay close by while their child is in hospital
• £104 could fund a day’s worth of laboratory goods which helps researchers discover new treatments and cures for children with complex and rare conditions at GOSH and across the UK
