Alton Towers have announced the latest addition to the running calendar that a little different. The brand new Run Alton Towers 10k & Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 14th November 2021 and is set to be a fun fixture for the Autumn racing calendar. This race offers runners of all abilities the opportunity to race around the Alton Towers Resort. 

The event will welcome thousands of runners to Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire. Starting in the heart of the theme park the race will take in most of the resort with runners completing one lap of the park for the 10k and a second lap to complete the half marathon. This looks like a unique race experience, with the park closed to the public, runners will be able to jump on a ride or two after the race.

Organisers, RunThrough UK, will bring a new and unique event to their calendar with over 200 chip timed races UK wide. Bringing events to some of the UK’s most famous landmarks including Aintree Racecourse, Goodwood Motor Circuit, Colchester Zoo, Hampton Court Palace and many more.

Online entries are now open. All finishers will receive a unique themed medal, RunThrough Kit Technical T-shirt, free official photography, a goody bag, free parking and free use of the theme park rides after the race (worth £34).
